From July 16 to 18, the exhibition "Lilies 2026", created in cooperation with the association "Lilium Balticum", will be on display at the Latvian National Museum of Natural History. Lily exhibit is amongst most beautiful and beloved gardening exhibitions at the museum, and is being organized for more than 30 years.
The exhibition will feature more than 150 lily varieties grown in local gardens, including varieties from both Latvian and international breeders, as well as several dozen of the newest lily varieties.
Everyone is invited to appreciate not only the beauty of the blooms, but also their fragrance and diversity of colors. The organizers will encourage visitors to pay special attention to the fragrant trumpet lilies, a group in which Latvia has earned particular recognition for its breeding achievements.
The exhibition will feature lily growers Antra Balode, Maruta Audare, Guntis Grants, Dāvids Hercbergs, Ingrīda Grīna, Velta Leskoviča, Solvita Erniņa, and Agra Straumane, as well as the National Botanic Garden of Latvia and the University of Latvia Botanic Garden.
At the exhibition, advice on planting and choosing varieties of lilies will be provided. Also, it will be possible to order lily bulbs.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, July 16, at 11:00
in the exhibition hall on the 2nd floor.
